Snowmass Village sits nine miles up Brush Creek Road from Highway 82 — close enough to Aspen to share its airport, far enough that the last leg matters. We run that road year-round, in all-wheel-drive Mercedes Sprinters and luxury SUVs, door to door from whichever airport you land at.
Aspen/Pitkin County (ASE) → Snowmass Village — about 20 minutes. The short hop. We meet you at the terminal or at the FBO if you are arriving privately.
Eagle County (EGE) → Snowmass Village — about 75 minutes. West on I-70 through Glenwood Canyon, then south on Highway 82 up the Roaring Fork Valley.
Denver International (DEN) → Snowmass Village — about 4 hours. Roughly 200 miles. Longer in winter weather or Sunday I-70 traffic, and we build that buffer into your pickup time rather than discovering it on the road.
If you have a choice of arrival airport, EGE usually beats DEN by more than two and a half hours of driving. It is worth checking before you book flights — we are happy to tell you which arrival makes the day easier, even if it means a shorter trip for us.
Snowmass is not one drop-off. Base Village, the Snowmass Mall, Woodrun, Two Creeks, Divide, Horse Ranch and the Owl Creek side all have different access, and several of them have driveways that a two-wheel-drive vehicle simply will not climb after a storm. Give us the property name or address when you book and we will bring the right vehicle to the right door.
Ski-in lodges and private homes above the Mall are where most transfer problems happen. Ours are all-wheel drive with winter tires, and our drivers have been up those roads in weather before.
The Sprinters carry a full group and their gear at the same time — hard ski cases, board bags, boot bags and luggage behind the last row, not stacked on laps. Tell us the passenger count and the gear count when you book and we will size the vehicle to both. Child seats are available with advance notice.
Snowmass runs on group logistics. Conference arrivals at the Westin and the Viceroy, executive retreats staged out of private homes, and wedding weekends where forty guests land across three airports on two different days — that is normal work for us, not an exception.

Highway 82 up the valley is well maintained and rarely closes. The two things that do go wrong are weather diversions at ASE and I-70 closures in Glenwood Canyon. Flights into Aspen divert to Grand Junction, Eagle or Denver more often than airlines like to advertise, and it usually happens while you are already in the air.

Snowmass Village runs a free bus network and it is genuinely useful. It will move you between Base Village, the Mall, the Snowmass Center and the outlying neighbourhoods all day, and once you are settled in you should use it.
What it does not do is come get you from an airport, run at 5am for a departure, take a wedding party to a venue on a private road, or wait while your flight is two hours late. Those are the jobs a private car service exists for. Think of us as the airport legs and the trips with a schedule attached, and the village bus as everything in between.
People use the names interchangeably and then wonder why the driver is at the wrong end of the valley. Snowmass Village is about twenty minutes from downtown Aspen, up Brush Creek Road off Highway 82, and it sits higher — the village base is around 8,100 feet against Aspen at 7,900.
A Snowmass transportation booking is a different pickup point, a different drive and a different set of road conditions from an Aspen one, even though the rate structure is the same. When you book, name the village and the building rather than the mountain.
The village is built up a hillside and the difference between addresses is real.
Base Village is the newest cluster at the bottom of the Skittles gondola, and it has the most straightforward vehicle access. The Snowmass Mall sits above it, walking distance to the Village Express, with loading that gets tight at changeover on a Saturday. Two Creeks is quieter and residential. Wood Road, Owl Creek and Horse Ranch are private homes on steep drives where all-wheel drive stops being a preference in January. Old Snowmass is a different place entirely, fifteen minutes down valley toward Basalt, and it catches people out.
Give us the street address and the gate code when you book. The last quarter mile is where a transfer either works or does not.
Plenty of people staying in Snowmass need to get somewhere that is not Aspen. Basalt is about 25 minutes down Highway 82, Carbondale about 35, Glenwood Springs about 50 and the hot springs a few minutes past that. El Jebel, Woody Creek and the Roaring Fork Club are all on our regular runs.
We also do the trips the village bus and the resort cannot: an early doctor appointment in Glenwood, a dinner reservation in Basalt, a Maroon Bells morning in season, and the resort-to-resort days for guests who want to ski Aspen Mountain, Highlands or Buttermilk without moving lodging.

Yes. A grocery stop in Basalt or El Jebel on the way up from EGE or DEN is a common request and easy to add.

For Christmas, New Year, Presidents Day weekend, spring break and any wedding weekend, as early as you can. Midweek in shoulder season is usually fine a few days out.

In summer the eastern approach is Independence Pass, closed roughly half the year. In winter, Colorado’s traction law governs Highway 82 up the valley — worth reading before you book anyone.
Snowmass Village sits about fifteen minutes further from the Interstate 70 corridor than downtown Aspen, so every outbound airport departure time moves fifteen minutes earlier. A ten o’clock morning departure from Denver International means leaving Snowmass Village around three in the morning from May through October, and around a quarter to two between November and April.
